Growth starts with the basics.

WATER-AGENCY UPDATE · OCTOBER 19

Regional water planning is a separate effort

Signed September 22 minutes confirm Cresson’s 4–0 water-agency resolution vote and separate 4–0 appointments of Mayor Ron Becker as director and Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Clement as alternate. The dated water-planning guide links the minutes and keeps Granbury’s water-treatment financing separate. These votes do not establish changes to the MUD projects described below, completed agency formation or operating water service.

Before neighborhoods can grow, the infrastructure has to keep up. Around Cresson, different areas are served by different utilities and municipal utility districts, or MUDs.

Cresson Crossroads MUD No. 2

The district identifies Rio Vista, Sierra Vista, La Dorada and Bluejack Ranch in its Defined Area #3. A July 31, 2026 notice described plans for two additional wells, another water plant and expanded storage. August notices also imposed irrigation restrictions as demand challenged capacity.

Cresson MUD No. 1

This is a separate district. Its June 2026 records document ongoing construction administration associated with Brookside.

Check the district's current notices for your address. This article is background information, not an emergency notice or a substitute for your utility's instructions.
