GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

Along 377, growth comes in different stages.

A dated field guide from Cresson to its wider neighbors: golf, homes, business sites and the roads between them.

A development announcement, a plat approval, construction and an opening are four different milestones. The October desk uses those distinctions to explain what is changing around Cresson, including places beyond five miles of the historic crossroads.

One major road is already built: TxDOT says the three-mile, four-lane Cresson relief route west of town reached substantial completion in November 2024. It is the bypass, distinct from the old town-center alignment. The statewide US 377 study is a planning record; it does not establish a fully rebuilt Fort Worth-to-Stephenville corridor by a promised date. Relief route ↗ · Corridor study ↗

ANNOUNCED TARGET

Bluejack Ranch / Kelly Road

The private 914-acre club continues to point to autumn 2026 for golf. TGR’s course and ten-hole short course are distinct from residential buildout. Actual opening was not established in this check. Developer ↗ · Designer ↗

AREA AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Bear Creek / Kelly Ranch

Bear Creek/Kelly Ranch is local geographic context, not a second confirmed new golf club. MUD2’s July 31 notice includes Bluejack in Area 3 and describes intended extra wells and storage. A plan does not establish commissioning. District notice ↗

ACTIVE SALES

Godley toward Cresson

Bloomfield lists homes in Wildcat Ridge phases 2 and 4, with a Godley sales address. This establishes an active housing offering, not continuous development between Godley and Cresson or completion of every phase. Builder inventory ↗

ACTIVE SALES

Aledo

Parks of Aledo has named available-home listings. Mailing address, city boundary and service district remain different checks; no area-wide completion date is established. Builder inventory ↗

DATED CONSTRUCTION REPORT

Weatherford

The city’s March 2026 report lists Centerpoint retail/grocery, Morningside housing and Wossum Ranch Phase 6 under construction. Those March statuses do not prove October completion. March report ↗

REDEVELOPMENT AND PROPOSALS

Benbrook

Benbrook EDC documents the rebuilt Russell Feed corner and a January 2026 preview of Jake’s Burgers and Tacos & Avocados. The listed April opening target is not an opening confirmation. Project record ↗

COMMUNITY SCALE

Southwest Fort Worth near Benbrook

Ventana’s developer describes approximately 2,600 homes. Treat that as community scale, not 2,600 future unbuilt homes. Developer FAQ ↗

BUILDOUT VISION

West Fort Worth / Aledo connections

Walsh describes over 15,000 families and nearly 50,000 residents at buildout, with homes available now and commercial areas being planned. That is a long-term developer vision, not five-year delivery or a US 377-only project. Developer facts ↗

UTILITY PREPARATION

Granbury / US 377

The city records April 2026 electric-line relocation contracts and a February update anticipating 2027 groundbreaking for the road project. Preparatory work and an anticipated start do not establish a finished widening. Road milestones ↗

The constraints belong in the story

Interpretation: active housing offerings, golf investment and commercial work show a region changing in several directions. Water capacity, road access, financing, permitting and buyer demand govern how quickly proposals become occupied places. The sources do not support adding every ultimate development total into a five-year population forecast.

“Southwest Fort Worth corridor” is editorial geography. Cresson, Godley, Aledo, Weatherford, Benbrook and Granbury remain distinct places. A mailing address is not a city boundary or a utility-service guarantee. Our small map is an orientation schematic, not a parcel map.

The September stories remain available for their historical detail and dated sources: Bluejack Ranch, around Cresson, water districts and the road outlook. Their dates remain visible.
